Commercial register of Paraguay is managed by the Directorate General of Public Records, an autonomous department of the Supreme Court. The Directorate also keeps records of land, real estate, civil acts, bankruptcies, etc.
Since 2006 it has been possible to register a company via the “single-window system” (Sistema Unificado de Apertura de Empresas – SUAE) of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. SUAE submits information about registered companies to the register of Directorate.
In its current state the register has existed since 1981.
